About the book
Feel as if success as a fiction author is as elusive as trying to catch a unicorn? Discover winning strategies that will save you time and money while selling more books!
Do you love writing but hate marketing? Do you wish there was an easier way to market your books to get sales while still having time to write? Denis, an author and book marketing coach, has helped hundreds of authors sell more books. Let him show you exactly what you need to do to build a successful author business.
Because self-published authors rarely have a background in marketing, I wrote this book to help you spend the least amount of money while casting the widest possible net. The net is designed specifically to find people who are most likely to enjoy your book, become a fan/reliable customer, and drive organic sales (get other people to read and buy your book).
By following the fictional story of Jane, you’ll witness how she builds her successful author business from scratch. Catch the Unicorn gives you the tools you need to get a steady stream of buyers to click the Buy button every single day.
In this book, you’ll discover how to:
- Target thousands of readers with less time than it takes to make a cup of coffee.
- Use budget-friendly tactics to save money while still building an effective business.
- Identify what might be bottle-necking your sales (most other authors will never notice it!)
- Avoid the pitfalls that plague new and experienced authors alike.
- Build your list of invested fans ready to buy your next novel.
- Bonus: Market if you only have one book published.
- Bonus: Downloadable checklist to ensure you don’t miss a step.
Finally, you no longer have to take on the challenge of marketing alone. With this book, I broke it down to its simplest and most actionable form; you can expose your brand of writing to thousands of potential readers.
Let this book help you navigate the stormy waters of book marketing and help you finally catch your unicorn.

"Denis has managed to cut through all the confusion surrounding the subject of marketing, and has written an informative, easy to follow guide that will prove invaluable to anyone wishing to self publish and market their book. It will definitely be my go to point of reference when the time comes to market my novel."

"I like how this book does a complete walkthrough without being preachy. Some how-to books can be, yet Denis Caron spends more time looking at and weighing options and tools. He does this through a little story of sort that is ongoing from start to finish, and that’s quite entertaining. I certainly related a lot to this main character…in a factual book. But hey, it works! That spin was quite catchy."

"Denis did such an amazing job with this book. He writes in a reader-friendly manner so you feel as though you’re listening to a friend while really, you’re retaining a wealth of knowledge. I made so many mistakes marketing my first book, and Denis has rid me of all the time-wasting bad habits. I purchased a physical copy of this book so I can have it handy every time I use it, because I do believe this will be the one reference I use for all future book releases. If you’re looking to publish or have already published and want to relaunch, THIS is the guide you need. Investing in this book will save you hours and hours of frustrating marketing tactics that don’t work. I have learned so much from Denis and his methodology, and I’ve seen amazing results. This is just what every indie author needs."

"Writing can be the easy part of being a successful author. There's a lot more to be done after you write 'the end' and most of it needs to be done before you post your book on Amazon. Fortunately, this book tells you what you need to do and how to do it. Some of the stuff in this book can be found in others but what I liked about this one was the pro tips' that tell you not how to do something, but how to do it well. One problem I've seen with other advice is that the advice-givers seem to think their reader is a semi-successful author with hundreds of fans. Most of us aren't and this book acknowledges that and gives advice on how that beginning author with no fan base can start out. Buy this book. You'll be glad you did."
